Almost there, Dave! Congratulations in advance for completing your Nannapoopoo adventure. I think you’ll now agree that Nannapoopoo is a lot easier to say by the end of NaPodPoMo!
I have three words for you: NO DAILY SHOWS. Or another three: CHEW THE FAT.
Before I’d even heard of Nannapoopoo, I have done daily shows before and did so for 5 months when I started to podcast. They are great at that stage because you don’t have to wait a week for feedback or to try something different.
November is now special for that reason so don’t dilute it for the mere sake of doing a daily show if all you are going to say is “Hi, my name is Dave and the weather is rubbish, goodnight interweb.” I’m sure you wouldn’t do that (you haven’t so far) but the temptation would be there.
If you do a daily show, it would be better to record it at the same time of day each day if you can. That way (as Rowley said earlier) that people will look forward to a little part of Dave coming down the pipes & into your ears at the same time each day. While it might be convenient for you (and well within the few rules that NaPodPoMo has), hearing you on a regular basis beyond November at 2340 and then at 0040 the next day sort of defeats the purpose of having a daily show.
So for me, concentrate at what you are really good at (the main show & everything you do connected with that) & leave the daily stuff for November. That’s my mere 5 cents worth but of course, the final decision is yours.
