Nice discussion! Ask any coffee geek, and they’ll tell you that pods are not the way to go. For absolute freshness, the (as fresh as possible) coffee beans should be ground in a mill just before you make a brew. Buy a cafetiere/French press for a slightly earthy cup or V60 or Chemex for a nice, clean pourover experience. As for tea, Karoline should try Milk Oolong and then start exploring the great world of Darjeeling and Nilgiri before buying some loose Japanese green tea (which is just ace). Just be careful of the infusion times and water temperatures – they’re crucial to having a great cuppa.
As you can probably guess, I’m a tea and coffee nerd, and I administer a page on Facebook and Twitter.
What’s more, I’m writing this from my Arch Linux box, which should please Dave.
